Frequently asked questions

What is open today, what is planned, and what you will control before any future introduction.

What is open today

Is Ramara Helps arranging help now?

No. The public prelaunch website and email updates are open. Help forms, matching, and introductions are not active yet.

How quickly will someone respond to a help request?

Help requests are not open yet, so no response time can be promised. Ramara Helps will not be an emergency service or real-time dispatch. The future request experience will explain what happens next and when to use another service instead.

Will this be an app or a website?

The public site works in an ordinary browser today. The full service is planned as a mobile-friendly web experience first. People could use it on a phone, tablet, or computer without downloading anything. A downloadable app is not active or promised.

Privacy and control

Will my request appear in public?

No. A future form and its personal details will not be posted publicly. If an introduction is proposed, you will see the exact details that would be shared with that specific helper before you decide. Ramara Helps may later publish a broad community need only after checking that it cannot identify a person or household.

Can I ask anonymously?

There will be no public request board showing who asked. To coordinate practical help, Ramara Helps may privately need a way to reach you and information relevant to the request. Before any introduction, you will see what would be shared and with whom.

Can someone come to my home without my approval?

No. Matching is not active today. When limited introductions eventually open, no one will be sent to your home simply because you submitted a request. You will review the proposed next step and choose whether it moves forward.

Do I need an account or a public profile?

No account is needed for the current email list. Future private forms are designed not to require a public profile, photograph, biography, or diagnosis. You will not need proof of poverty or proof that you deserve help.

Will people see who submitted feedback or a report?

The feedback and reporting system is not active yet. Before it opens, the policy must explain who can see a report, any exceptions, and how it is handled. The planned design will not publish a help-seeker's rating or turn a safety allegation directly into a public score. Any public helper signal would need enough completed interactions to protect individual privacy.

Trust, access, and different kinds of help

Who will be able to ask for help?

The planned service allows an adult in Ramara to ask for themselves or a dependent. They may also ask for another adult who knows and agrees. Any necessary authority and consent will be handled privately.

Who will be able to offer help?

An adult may offer help from anywhere if they clearly agree to serve people in Ramara. An offer alone will not make someone active, verified, or available for introductions.

What will ‘verified’ mean?

If verification is activated later, Ramara Helps will state exactly what was checked and when. Different kinds of help may require different evidence. A completed check will confirm only that evidence; it will not guarantee, approve, or endorse a person as safe.

What if something goes wrong?

Before introductions open, Ramara Helps must have clear ways to cancel, block contact, report a concern, and stop unsafe activity. Higher-risk help stays unavailable until its specific safeguards and operating support are ready.

Can I ask for advice without inviting someone over?

The first service is focused on practical help that needs coordination. A private advice-only option is worth evaluating, but it is not active. Ramara Helps is not launching as an open discussion forum.

Can I use a landline or ask someone to help with a form?

Not today. Ramara Helps is evaluating assisted access for people who cannot comfortably use online forms. No landline or staffed telephone service is committed or active. Any future option would need trained people, stated service hours, clear consent, and safe record handling.

What happens if a future task involves a cost?

Any possible materials, fuel, purchase, service, or platform cost must be clear and accepted before an introduction. Payment will not buy a higher place in results.
